1 cup hot Steamed Rice
2 cups sugar
1 cup almonds (badam) (soaked, peeled and thinly sliced) , pistachios (soaked, peeled and thinly sliced) , , raisins, walnuts, cashewnuts
5 cardamoms (elaichi) powdered
20 to 25 saffron (kesar) strands
yellow colour

For Tarka
4 tbsp ghee
4 small cloves (laung / lavang)
3 cardamoms (elaichi)

  1. Mix all the ingredients and keep aside for 10 mins.
  2. Heat ghee, put cloves and cardamom seeds.
  3. Add all above ingredients
  4. And stir on medium heat for 3 minutes.
  5. Garnish with sliced almonds.
