Kachi Keri Sherbat recipe - How to make Kachi Keri Sherbat

500 gms raw mangoes , peeled and chopped
1 kg sugar
few saffron (kesar) strands strands dissolved in 1 tbsp milk
a pinch of cumin seeds (jeera) powder
salt to taste
  1. Boil the mangoes in enough water and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  2. Strain and keep aside.
  3. In a non-stick pan, add the sugar and enough water till the sugar is covered with water, mix well and bring to boil till the syrup of one string consistency is made.
  4. Add the milk, mix well and remove form the flame.
  5. Cool and add the mango juice and mix well.
  6. For 1 serving, put 2 tbsp of mango mix, a pinch salt and cumin seeds powder, chilled water and ice cubes.
  7. Serve chilled.
