Janak is an interesting sweet and spicy chutney or dip recipe with onions and tomatoes tempered with mustard seeds and curry leaves. The tomato -onion paste is then mixed with jaggery, salt and red chilli powder. Relish the dip with starter or any snack.
- Heat oil in a kadhai.
- Put mustard, karipattha and jeera.
- When they crackle put oninons and tomatoes and pour little water.
- After 15 minutes add salt,mirchi powder and jaggery.
