Ingredients

25 gms butter
100 gms castor sugar
150 gms plain flour (maida)
65 ml milk
2 gms cinnamon (dalchini) powder
a pinch of salt
5 gms baking powder
For the garnish:
150 ml Chocolate Sauce
50 g melon, scooped
2 mint sprig
Method


  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter with the castor sugar till light and fluffy.
  2. Tip in the flour and the milk, together with the cinnamon, salt and baking powder and mix till you get a cake batter consistency.
  3. Pour into a decorative cake mould and bake at 250o c for 15 minutes. remove, demould and cool on a wire rack till just warm.
  4. Serve warm or at room temperature.
  5. Pour the chocolate sauce over the cake and decorate the top with scoops of melon and mint sprigs.
