Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
3/4 cup fresh curds (dahi)
1/2 cup butter
250 gms jaggery (gur) , grated
1/4 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1/4 tsp cinnamon (dalchini) powder
3 tsp milk powder
3/4 cup mixed chopped nuts
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
1 orange
1 orange
1 tsp sesame seeds (til)
4 tsp honey
Method
    Method
  1. Combine the whole wheat flour, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon powder and sieve well. Keep aside.
  2. Heat the butter in a pan, add the jaggery and sauté on a medium flame till the jaggery melts.
  3. Remove from the flame and transfer this to a bowl.
  4. Add the curds, nuts, orange peel, juice, honey and milk powder and whisk well.
  5. Add the flour gradually and mix well making a thick batter.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and sprinkle the sesame seeds on top.
  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven for 45 minutes at 180 degree Celsius.
  8. Cool on a wire- rack and serve.
