This dish was invented for my son who loves to taste my cooking experiments. Instead of soya chunks paneer can also be used.

Jackfruit Packets recipe - How to make Jackfruit Packets

25 jackfruit , deseeded and scooped
oil for deep frying

For The Filling
1 tsp oil
1 onion , sliced
1 capsicum , finely chopped
1 green chilli , chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped carrots
1/4 cup finely chopped french beans
1/2 cup soaked and chopped soaked and chopped soya chunks
1 tsp tomato ketchup
1/2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp chilli sauce
salt and to taste

To Be Mixed Together For The Batter
1 cup plain flour (maida)
1/2 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
salt to taste
chilli powder to taste
water as required

To make the filling:

    To make the filling:
  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions, capsicum, chilly, vegetables and soya chunks and saute for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the sauces, pepper and salt, mix well and remove from flame.
  3. Keep aside.

To make the packets

    To make the packets
  1. Stuff each jackfruit with adequate filling.
  2. Dip each in the batter and roll in bread crumps/oats.
  3. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry till they turn golden and crisp from all the sides.
  4. Serve hot.
