An aromatic combination of saffron , hibiscus and tea leaves
to beat the heat of the scorching summers .

Hibiscus and Saffron Iced Tea recipe - How to make Hibiscus and Saffron Iced Tea

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     1Makes 1 serving

10 to 12 red hibiscus flowers , washed
a few strands of saffron (kesar) strands
1 tea bag
2 tsp lemon juice
few ice cubes
few mint leaves (phudina) and lemon slices for garnishing
  1. Put 5 cups water in a large pan and bring to boil.
  2. Add the sugar, hibiscus , saffron and tea, mix well and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from the flame and gently mash the flowers with a spoon. Strain the liquid and keep aside to cool.
  4. Add the lemon juice and pour equally in 4 glasses and top with ice.
  5. Garnish with a mint spring and lemon slice .
  6. Serve chilled.
