Cheese, pineapple, tomatoes, capsicum and jalapenos, topped with a minty, garlicky, olive oil based dressing fits well into this Hawaii Sandwich creation. Just bite into the sandwich for a true Hawaiian experience.

Hawaii Sandwich recipe - How to make Hawaii Sandwich

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 1 sandwich

2 baguette rolls , cut into 2 pieces lengthwise
1 tbsp cheese spread
2 slices canned pineapple , chopped
1/4 cup chopped capsicum
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
3 jalapenos
1 slit green chilli , chopped
3 cheese slices , cut into 2 diagonally
6 tbsp mayonnaise

To Be Blended Into A Coarse Paste
1/4 cup chopped mint leaves (phudina)
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic (lehsun)
1/4 tsp dried oregano
salt to taste

To Serve
red radish (mooli)
cherry flowers
tomato rose
capsicum strips
  1. Place 2 halve of one baguette roll on a clean dry surface.
  2. Evenly spread the cheese spread on both the halve.
  3. On one halve arrange place a cheese slice and top it with pineapple pieces, capsicum, tomato, onion, jalapenos and green chillies, one upon the other.
  4. Pour 1 tsp of paste on top of vegetables.
  5. Place the other halve of the roll on top with the cheese side facing downwards.
  6. Repeat steps 1 to 5 to make one more sandwich.
  7. Serve as it is or warm it on a griddle. .
  8. Serve immediately.
