  1. Combine all the dals and soak in enough water for 8-10 hours.
  2. Drain and keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add the onions and saute till they turn golden brown in colour.
  4. Add the ginger garlic paste and saute for few more seconds.
  5. Add the tomatoes and saute for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the coriander powder, garam masala, chilli powder and salt, mix well and saute for few seconds.
  7. Add the dal and enough water, mix well and pressure cook for 6-8 whistles, or till cooked.
  8. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
  9. Add the cream and mix well. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  10. Serve hot garnished with cream and coriander.
