The dish can be served warm when you are using milk or chilled.

the choice of fruits depends on the you. add anything you want only be sure that it is not something like water melon which will make the dish very very soggy.

Fruity Poha recipe - How to make Fruity Poha

2 cups beaten rice (poha)
1 cup mixed fruits (any fruits which you like which do not give out too much water.)
a few pineapple slices (to decorate the dish)
1/2 cup milk or coconut milk
sugar (optional)

  1. Clean and soak the poha and drain it and keep
  2. Cut the fruits of your choice into small cubes and keep.
  3. If you are using coconut milk instead of milk then:-
  4. Grate the coconut and blend it in a mixer with a little warm water.
  5. Drain the juice properly. this should give you 1/2 cup coconut milk.
  6. If it does not then repeat the process once more.
  7. The above step can be missed if you are using plain milk.
  8. Just before serving mix the ingredients in a bowl and serve.
  9. Decorate with a slice of pineapple.
  10. Add sugar to taste.
  11. If you are using plain milk then add a little sugar it tastes good.
  12. With coconut milk the do not add sugar and let the flavour of the coconut come alive in the dish.
