2 cups milk
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp custard powder
300 gms fresh cream
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
chopped mixed fruits (1 apple, 2 oranges, 1 sweet lime, 1 banana, a few seedless grapes)
1 small eggless sponge cake (6")
3 to 4 tbsp mixed fruit jam

  1. Heat the milk with six tablespoons of powdered sugar.
  2. Dissolve the custard powder in little cold milk and add to the hot milk.
  3. Stir constantly till thick. cool.
  4. Take fresh cream in a vessel.
  5. Add the remaining ¾ cup of powdered sugar and beat over ice cubes. reserve 1/4 of cream for decoration.
  6. To the cooled custard, add the essence and the remaining fresh cream. spread half the cream custard in a pudding tray.
  7. Spread half of the fruits. cut the cake into slices.
  8. Apply jam on one side and arrange over the fruits.
  9. Spread the remaining fruits.
  10. Pour the remaining custard cream and spread till smooth.
  11. Decorate with stiffly beaten fresh cream and some fruit pieces.
