Fried Rice with Sprouts recipe - How to make Fried Rice with Sprouts

2 tbsp oil
1 finely sliced onion
1 large clove minced garlic (lehsun)
2 stalks of celery, chopped or spring onions, chopped
1/2 cup bell peppers / green peas or any other vegetables (optional)
1 cup mushrooms (khumbh), diced
1 cup chopped bean sprouts
2 cups cooked long grained brown rice (basmati) or normal lightly flavoured long grained rice (basmati)
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 to 3 green chillies - slit length wise
salt , pepper and sugar to taste

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok add the onion, chillies, garlic, celery, bell peppers and mushrooms.
  2. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes or till the onions turn light brown, add the salt, pepper and sugar. add the beansprouts, cooked rice and soy sauce.
  3. Cook until rice is heated, and serve hot.
