Easy Idli Chaat recipe - How to make Easy Idli Chaat

For The Idli
1 1/2 cups semolina (rava)
1 1/2 cups sour buttermilk
1/2 cup grated carrot
3 chopped green chillies
salt to taste
1/2 cup spinach (palak) puree

For Chaat
2 cups mixed sprouts
1/2 cup chopped spring onions
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1 1/2 tbsp chaat masala
salt to taste
2 tbsp grated processed cheese (optional)
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
few lemon slices

For the idlis

    For the idlis
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well to make a smooth batter.
  2. Cover and keep aside for 20 minutes.
  3. Pour spoonful of the batter in each mould and steam in an idli steamer for 10 minutes.
  4. Cut the idlis into tiny pieces or mash them into crumbles and keep aside.

For the chaat

  1. Combine the sprouts, onions, tomatoes, chaat masala, salt, idli pieces and peanuts and toss well.
  2. Garnish with cheese, coriander and lemon slices and serve.
