Hi I tried this recipe. It came out well the last 2 times I tried. This time though, it was pretty sticky. What could be the issue?

Tarla Dalal    The butter to be used in this recipe has to be soft and not melted. The biscuits tend to turn sticky if the butter is melted.

I used this recipe a few times now and now it is working fine. Only problem is biscuits looses its square shape. Becomes round. Any suggestion to rretain the squarish shape? Thanks

Tarla Dalal    The dough has to be chilled very well before cutting into pieces. If it is not enough chilled, you might lose the square shape.

Tarla Dalal    You need to keep the baking tray in the middle rack of the oven. Also each oven is different, so baking time may differ from oven to oven.

Tarla Dalal    There won''t be a pre heat option in an oven. You have to heat the oven without the tray and the product inside at the same temperature as the temperature for 5 minutes. This is called pre heating.

I tried the recipe. Itveeally went very well. butine was little hard and after baking it was red at the base. How to avoid this. Please suggest.

Tarla Dalal    The baking time varies from oven to oven. You can try this recipe by baking for 25 minutes. If it is done, do not bake further.
