I made this recipe just yesterday. It turned out so well! I don't know which part of it I liked better -- the koftas, or the very flavorful paste or how they all came together, but the whole thing came together so nicely. My parents don't eat onion and garlic, and the absence of either was completely unnoticeable

The aniseeds in the spinach sauce impart a special flavour and the sauce is not very spicy as it is sans the usual whole masalas like cloves, cinnamon, black pepper etc.This sauce is delicious on its own and will blend well with any vegetables.
