The dal tasted very nice, I have made palak dal before and always add garlic and tomatoes. But even without adding tomatoes it tasted wonderful. The only issue I faced with was adding 3 cups water, I think is too much. Because all water splashed from my pressure cooker on the stove. Though the dal was thin but please suggest if 2 cups water will be fine or 2/12 cup?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Poonam, We are happy you liked the taste. If you wish you can add 2 or 21/2 cups of water and pressure cook and then later the dal if thick you can add little more water.

Good way of adding..palak to the dal...adds in lot of nutrients like Vitamin A, folic acid and yes iron...
