Can u pls give cup measrement in gram. Just to check where i have gone wrong .my cake weighed only 300gm instead of 500gm

Tarla Dalal    1 cup is approx 200gms flour , 1/2 cup sugar is 100gms.

I made a chocolate version. It was delicious and so easy. I used a stand mixer for 6 minutes on high.

Tarla Dalal    Hello Pooja, This is a tried and tested recipe from our kitchen. We have tried this recipe here many times and you can always increase the quantity of vanilla essence to not deal with that eggy smell.

Tarla Dalal    Hello, By fatless cake recipe, we mean the one using no butter/ oil or any fat. Only three major ingredients - eggs, flour and sugar are used.

Hi, I tried this cake today. It was hard. I baked it for 20 mins in 200. I had preheated the oven. After beating egg and castor sugar, quantity had doubled. Not sure of the reason. Yukthi

Tarla Dalal    Hi, We have tried this recipe here many times and it has come out perfect, make sure the eggs are beaten till it doubles and also with using an electric beater and not a whisk....
