Lot of restaurants use big square pieces of onion and capsicum whereas in this recipe you have use finely chopped onions i like it better when u have cruncy pieces of onion and capsicum with paneer. Just want to know which cutting is more authentic for chilli paneer

Tarla Dalal    Hi Madhur, Yes you can make it with onion and capsicum cubes to get the restaurant feel.

Can we make batter without using baking powder... I mean is it necessary to add baking powder

Tarla Dalal    Hi, Do add baking powder as it gives it a little fluffiness.

Kindly suggest how much oil required. It is written only 1 tea spoon.

Tarla Dalal    After the paneer has been deep-fried, 1 tsp oil is enough to saute with other ingredients. Do try this recipe and share your valuable feedback with us.

Can we use only maida for covering of panner?

Tarla Dalal    Hi Simran, In the batter we have mixed equal propotion of cornflour and maida.. To give a soft and crispy texture.. If only maida added it will become chewy, once added in the gravy.
