A chocolate brown colored soft and spongy Dates cake with the goodness of dates. The dates are rich in iron and natural sugars and hence make for an excellent ingredient in this date cake recipe. Enjoy the date cake as a teatime cake or dessert after meals.

Ingredients

15 dates (khajur)
250 ml milk (boiled)
1 cup ghee
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 to 2 cups plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Method


  1. Sieve maida and soda.
  2. Beat ghee and sugar.
  3. Add dates and mix.
  4. Add milk and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the mixture od madia and soda mix well.
  6. Grease a cake tin and pour the mixture.
  7. Bake in hot oven at 300 d for 25 mins or 100 d c for 30 mins or till it is cook.
