Dal Poha (Bisi Bele Avalakki) is a South Indian breakfast recipe with poha or rice flakes cooked with roasted dals, tamarind pulp, powdered Indian masalas and then served hot with chopped coriander and coconut shavings as garnish.

- Soak poha, boil dal (not too soft)
- Mix dal, poha,salt, tamarind extract, powdered masala and a cup of water.
- Bring to boil.heat oil.
- Season with mustard seeds, curryleaves, turmeric.
- Fry onion in the same oil.
- Add to the boiled dal and mix well.
- Serve with papad.
