Add very little i.e. 1-2 tbsp of water to sugar for a quick one string consistency syrup.

2 cups rice (chawal)
1 cup beaten rice (poha)
1 tbsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
salt to taste
curdled butter whey

  1. Add 2 cups of rice and 1 cup of poha and 1tbsp of methi, soak them for 4-6 hours and grind them softly.
  2. Add in salt to taste and pour two laddles in a hot kadai and cook covered with a lid.
  3. Do not turn. serve hot with tomato chutney or any other spicy chutney.
