To Be Mixed Together For The Filling
4 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
2 chopped onions
1 chopped green chillies
1/4 tsp crushed dried mint leaves (phudina)
1/2 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste

For The Dough
2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp salt

oil for cooking

    For the dough
  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape them into a circle of 4" diameter.
  3. Keep aside.

  1. Divide the filling into 4 equal portions and keep aside.
  2. Place a portion of the filling at the centre and bring the sides together to seal the edges.
  3. Roll out again into a circle of 6" diameter.
  4. Heat a tava and cook each paratha using little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
  5. Serve hot.
