125 gms plain flour (maida)
75 gms butter
75 gms castor sugar
1/2 cup corn flakes
5 to 6 cherries, sliced
1/4 tsp baking powder
5 to 6 drops of vanilla essence

  1. Beat butter and sugar till it gets soft and smooth.
  2. Sieve maida and baking powder together.
  3. Add essence.
  4. Add it to the beaten butter little by little and make dough.
  5. Churn the corn flakes in the mixie.
  6. Divide the dough into balls of equal size and cover with the churned corn flakes.
  7. Arrange in a well-greased tray.
  8. Put cherries on the top of biscuits.
  9. Bake in a moderate oven at 180ºc for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Makes:about 10 biscuits
