Cornlakes Biscuits recipe - How to make Cornlakes Biscuits


Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

125 gms plain flour (maida)
1/4 tsp baking powder
75 gms butter
75 gms castor sugar
1/2 crushed cornflakes
6 cherries
5 drops vanilla essence
  1. Combine the butter and sugar and whisk well till it becomes soft, fluffy and smooth. Keep aside.
  2. Combine the plain flour and baking powder and sieve together and keep aside.
  3. Add the vanilla essence and the beaten butter in parts and knead into a soft dough.
  4. Divide the dough into balls of equal size and cover with the churned corn flakes.
  5. Arrange in a well-greased tray and place the cherries on the top of biscuits.
  6. Bake in a pre-heated oven till crisp and golden brown.
  7. Serve at room temperature or store in an air-tight container.
