A delightful blend of corn and mushroom baked in a white sauce and a topping of melted cheese. Goes really well with toasted and buttered garlic bread!

Corn Mushroom Baked Dish recipe - How to make Corn Mushroom Baked Dish

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 4 to 5 servings


For White Sauce
1 cup plain flour (maida)
5 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups milk
1 tsp pepper
salt to taste

Other Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
1 cup sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
1 cup mushroom , sliced

For The Granish
4 tbsp grated processed cheese

  1. Heat the butter in a pan, add the flour and saute till the colour changes.
  2. Remove from the flame, cool and add the milk and whisk well so that no lumps remain.
  3. Cook again till the sauce becomes thick
  4. Add the salt and pepper and mix well.
  5. Keep aside.

  1. Heat the butter in a non-stick pan, add the corn and saute for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove and keep aside.
  3. Add the mushrooms in the same pan and saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from the flame, add the white sauce and mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a microwave safe bowl, sprinkle the cheese and microwave on covection mode for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
  6. Serve hot with garlic bread.
