Condensed Milk Cookies recipe - How to make Condensed Milk Cookies

Preparation Time:    Baking Time:  35 minutes   Baking Temperature:  160°C (320°F)   Cooking Time:    Total Time:     18Makes 18 cookies

1 1/4 cups plain flour (maida)
1/2 tsp baking powder
5 tbsp milk powder
3/4 cup butter (room temperature)
2 tbsp castor sugar
1/4 cup condensed milk
  1. Sieve the plain flour and baking powder. Combine it along with the milk powder in a deep bowl and keep aside.
  2. Cream the butter and castor sugar in a deep bowl and mix well using a spatula.
  3. Add the condensed milk and mix well.
  4. Fold in the plain flour-milk powder and mix well to form a soft dough.
  5. Cover the dough with a lid and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  6. Divide the dough into 18 equal portions and shape each portion into a 50 mm. (2”) diameter thin circle.
  7. Place the cookies on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated at 160°c (320°f) for about 30 minutes.
  8. Remove from the baking tray and cool.
  9. Serve immediately or store in an air-tight container.

Hi I tried these today. In convection mode of microwave at 160, I had kept it for 30 mins. After 15 mins, I noticed that it had turned to dark brown. But not cooked inside well. Please help me find out the issue Yukthi
