Coconut chutney is a South Indian way of preparing a creamy and spicy coconut chutney or paste with freshly grated coconut . Tasty and easy to prepare coconut chutney can be refrigerated and used as desired as an accompaniment to main course or any starter.

1/2 cup grated coconut
Pottu Kadalai-1/4 Cup
Red/green chilies- 7
Ginger- 1 inch piece
salt to taste
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
curry leaves (kadi patta)

  1. Grind the 1st five ingredients into a coarse paste by adding little water. heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan and put mustard seeds. pour this on top of the ground paste and mix well.
