Ingredients


For The Dough
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tsp oil
salt to taste

To Be Mixed Together Into A Stuffing
1 1/2 tbsp finely chopped green chillies
1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
1 cup grated processed cheese
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
2 tbsp cheese spread
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1/2 tsp chaat masala
salt and to taste

Other Ingredients For Chilli Cheese Paratha
whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
6 tsp oil for cooking

Method

For the dough

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well and knead into a semi-soft dough using enough water.
  2. Cover with a lid and keep aside for 15 minutes.

How to proceed

  1. To make {span class="bold1"}chilli cheese paratha{/span}, divide the stuffing into 6 equal portions and keep aside.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions.
  3. Roll out 2 portions of the dough into a 150 mm. (6”) diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
  4. Place a rolled circle on a clean, dry surface, spread one portion of the stuffing evenly over it. Cover it with another rolled circle and press it gently to seal the edges.
  5. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the paratha, using 1 tsp of oil , till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 to make 5 more parathas.
  7. Serve the {span class="bold1"}chilli cheese paratha{/span} immediately.
