The light and tasty caramel custard is made with caramelized sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla. An easy caramel custard recipe is made in custard cups and enjoyed as a lovely dessert option with a typical burnt sugar taste.

1 1/2 tsp sugar for caramel

for custard
1 egg
2 tsp sugar
1 cup milk

  1. Keep water in a pan ready.
  2. Put sugar for caramel in a small vessel.
  3. Put the vessel on low fire.
  4. When it starts melting and becomes brown,turn the vessel in the hand so that the caramel coatsthe vessel evenly.
  5. Put it aside.
  6. Break an egg in a bowl,add sugar for custard.
  7. Beat the egg.
  8. Add milk, mix it.
  9. Pour in the vessel in which caramel had been prepared.
  10. Place the vessel in the pan of water.
  11. Steam for 45 mins on low fire, till it sets.
  12. Cool, chill before eating.
