Besan Paare recipe - How to make Besan Paare

  1. Combine the flour, semolina, besan, salt, carom seeds, asafoetida, chilli powder and oil in a bowl, mix well and knead into a smooth dough adding enough water as required.
  2. Cover with damp cloth and set aside at least for fifteen minutes.
  3. Knead the dough for another minute and divide into four equal parts.
  4. Take each part of the dough and make a flat ball shape.
  5. Roll them thin and prick them with a fork all over the rolled dough so that the paare do not puff when frying.
  6. Cut each of the rolled dough into about half inch wide and 3 inch long pieces.
  7. Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
  8. Make sure to place just enough paare so you can turn them over easily when frying.
  9. Fry the paare until both sides are light golden-brown.
  10. Cool and serve.

how many calories in 1 besan para. i have to increase my weight & fat in my body & i am pure vegetarian so suggest me snacks which has high calories.

Tarla Dalal    Dear Vanshika, Instead of turning to only deep-fried foods, also try to include high carb fruits and vegetables like banana, chickoo, potato etc. along with cheese, paneer and limited quantities of butter. For some weight gain recipes check out the following link.
