Bengali Vegetable Pulao recipe - How to make Bengali Vegetable Pulao

  1. Wash the rice twice with plenty of water to drain excess starch.
  2. Keep the rice soaked for 10 minutes.
  3. Put one pan on flame with 4 cups of water (for 2 cups of rice) to boil.
  4. Heat the ghee in a pan, add the cloves, cumin seeds and cinnamon and lightly saute.
  5. Add the vegetables and cook for 60 seconds and then put all the contents in the heating water.
  6. Add one teaspoon of sugar in the water and then once the water comes to a boil, add the drained rice in it.
  7. Simmer let the rice cook for 10 minutes covered.
  8. Once done, add kewra water and serve.
