A lovely and tangy chutney made from beetroots as the main ingredient. Serve it with parathas or polis.

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     6Makes 6 servings

  1. Remove the skin, wash and chop beetroots finely.
  2. Heat oil in kadai and fry the beetroots for 10 mnts on low fire and keep aside.
  3. Now fry the dals, chillies, dhania seeds and curry leaves with little oil till golden brown.
  4. Grind all the above in a mixie to smooth paste and add salt to taste.
