Banana Roll recipe - How to make Banana Roll

1 cup bananas , peeled , boiled and mashed
cardamom (elaichi) powder to taste
1/4 chopped and fried cashewnut (kaju)
1/4 cup grated coconut
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup plain flour (maida)
2 drops vanilla essence
oil for deep frying
powdered sugar for sprinkling
  1. Combine the banana, cardamom, vanilla essence, cocnut, cashewnut and sugar and mix well till smooth.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal sized 2" long rolls. Keep aside.
  3. Combine the flour with enough water to make a batter of pouring consistency.
  4. Heat the oil in kadhai and dip the rolls in the batter and deep fry till golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  5. Drain on an absorbent paper and sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.
  6. Serve immediately.
