500 gms dried figs
500 gms dates (khajur) , deseeded and chopped
1/2 cup skimmed milk powder
5 to 6 almonds (badam) , sliced
  1. Soak the anjeer in 3 cups water for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Boil in same water for 6-7 minutes or until it swells and becomes soft.
  3. Remove from the flame, drain and keep the figs aside to cool.
  4. Reserve 1/4 cup figs and puree the rest. Keep aside.
  5. Soak dates in 2 cups of hot water for 23 mts.
  6. Drain the water out and puree the dates.
  7. Combine both the purees and mix well.
  8. Add the milk powder and mix well and cook on a slow flame till the mixture mixes well.
  9. Add the chopped figs and cook on a slow flame for 5 minutes.
  10. Serve hot garnished with almonds.
