  1. Cook the moong dal with sufficient water and keep aside.
  2. Heat the ghee in a pan and add the cumin seeds.
  3. When the seeds crackle, add the ginger-green chilli paste and saute for few seconds.
  4. Pour this tempering to the dal, add the salt along with 1/2 cup water and mix well.
  5. Serve hot.
