Yummy Delight recipe - How to make Yummy Delight

Ingredients

For The Bajra Layer
1 cup bajra (black millet)
1/4 cup ghee
1 cup sugar
2 to 2 1/2 cups full fat milk
2 to 3 tbsp almonds
2 tbsp pistachios
2 tbsp walnuts (akhrot)
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder

For The Caramel Layer
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup cooking cream
1 tbsp chopped walnuts
1 tbsp chopped almonds (badam)

To Garnish
2 tbsp chocolate chips
chopped almonds (badam) and walnuts (akhrot)
Method
For the Bajra Layer

    For the Bajra Layer
  1. Soak the whole bajra in enough water in a deep vessel for 8 to 10 hours or over night.
  2. Drain well. Add enough water to Bajra and pressure cook for 5-6 whistles till tender. Drain the water well.
  3. Heat ghee in a non stick kadai, add cooked Bajra and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add milk and cook till almost thick, stirring continuously.
  5. Add the remaining ingredients for Bajra Layer and cook stirring till thick. Keep aside.

For the Caramel Layer

  1. Spread sugar in a non stick kadai and cook till sugar is light brown in colour (caramelised) on a low heat.
  2. Remove from heat add cooking cream and mix well.
  3. Return to heat and cook stirring till thick.
  4. Remove in a bowl andallow to cool a little.
  5. Mix the nut pieces.

To serve

    To serve
  1. Fill 3/4 th serving glass with bajra mixture and tap lightly to level.
  2. Fill the remaining glass with Caramel mixture.
  3. Sprinkle choco chips and nut pieces.
  4. Serve hot or chill for 3-4 hours and then serve.
