Crunchy croutons can make even a simple soup appear like an elegant and exotic treat. If it’s so easy to give your soup a perk-up, why not do it?
These Whole Wheat Toasted Croutons take care of the health angle too. Made by toasting whole wheat bread without any oil, these croutons are much healthier than the ones usually made by deep-frying white bread.
However, there is one constraint – these croutons cannot be stored as they become soggy after a while. So, make them and use them immediately. You can even use leftover bread to make it.
Serve it with tasty soups and salads like Cream Of Tomato Soup or Caesar Salad .
- Toast each bread slice in a pop-up toaster till they turn crisp and golden brown in colour from both the sides.
- Cut each toasted bread slice into 9 cubes using a sharp knife.
- Serve immediately.
