Veggie Burgers recipe - How to make Veggie Burgers

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

Ingredients
100 gms canned kabuli chana (white chick peas)
100 gms canned black beans
100 gms cooked masoor (whole red lentil) dhal
50 gms canned sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
1 medium diced tomato
2 tbsp sliced black olives
3 tbsp olive oil
1 medium diced onion
1/4 cup chopped red capsicum
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (khumbh)
3 garlic (lehsun) cloves minced
1" ginger (adrak) minced
4 green chillies minced
2 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
1 tbsp plain flour (maida)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
8 tsp feta cheese
4 extra large burger buns
2 tbsp butter
salt and black peppercorns (kalimirch) powder to taste
1 onion sliced , sautéed in butter with salt , pepper
1 tsp red wine vinegar
1 tomato sliced
4 tbsp mayonnaise mixed with 2 tsp hot sauce
4 slices pickle
4 cheese slices
12 slices potato wafers
4 large spinach (palak) leaves.

Method
    Method
  1. Pre heat oven 375°C.
  2. Heat olive oil and saute diced onions. Then add green chillies,ginger,garlic and tomatoes. Sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Add chilly powder, cumin powder and plain flour. After 2 minutes, add the red capsicum, olives and mushrooms. Cook for 3 minutes and add the cooked masoor dhal, chick peas, black beans, black eyed beans and sweet corn.
  4. Add salt, lime juice and coriander leaves. Mix well, mashing a tiny bit.
  5. Do not mush it up. Form into 4 large balls. Make a dent in the center and place 2 tsp feta cheese into each ball and form into patties. Bake for 6-8 minutes on each side.
  6. Toast the buns with butter, salt and pepper.
  7. Then spread each slice with the hot mayonnaise.
  8. Place a spinach leaf on the bottom half.
  9. Top with a veggie burger, then place the cheese, then some sautéed onions, then a slice of tomato and pickle.
  10. On top of this, place 3 potato chips and cover with the top bun.
  11. Secure with a tooth pick and serve
