8 slices of bread
100 gms curd
3 medium sized potatoes
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/4 cup grated cabbage
1/2 cup grated cottage cheese
salt to taste
black pepper (kalimirch) powder to taste
mustard powder

  1. Hang the curd over night in muslin cloth so that the water drains out completely.
  2. Boil the potatoes and mash them well.
  3. Add the grated carrots, cabbage, cottage cheese and the curd.
  4. Add salt, pepper and mustard powder.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Cut the ends of the bread slices and spread the mixture between two layers.
  7. Cut the breads diagonally to make two triangular sandwiches.
  8. Serve with green chutney or sauce.
