Veg Idli recipe - How to make Veg Idli

12 leftover idlis
1 cup long shredded cabbage
1 cup long carrot juliennes
1 cup thin capsicum strips (red , yellow , green)
1 tsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp chilli sauce
1/2 tsp white pepper powder
1/2 tsp ginger (adrak) juliennes
1/2 cup chopped spring onion greens
  1. Combine the tomato ketchup, soya sauce and chilli sauce in a small bowl and keep aside.
  2. Cut the idlis in 4 or 6 pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add ginger and saute.
  4. Add carrots, capsicums and saute,then add the cabbage and saute.
  5. Add the mixed sauces and pepper powder.
  6. Add idlis and gently mix.
  7. Serve garnished with spring onion greens.
