  1. Take your stock of cooked rice and divide in equal portions of 2 cups each.

Part 1 :-

    Part 1 :-
  1. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  2. On turning medium heat (but not smoking) put 1 clove, cardamom stick and red chilly to fry.
  3. Toss the spinach paste to it and add ginger paste, sugar & salt to taste and sauté for a min or two.
  4. Put 2 cups of rice and mix well in pan.
  5. Fry lightly for 1min remove heat and keep aside.

Part 2 :-

    Part 2 :-
  1. Again heat oil in pan.
  2. On turning medium put 1 clove, cardamom stick, cumin seeds and black pepper to fry.
  3. Toss the next 2 cups of rice and sauté.
  4. Add raisins, sugar & salt to taste and fry in low heat for a min. keep aside.

Part 3 :-

    Part 3 :-
  1. Again heat oil in pan.
  2. Put clove, cardamom, cumin seeds and black-pepper to fry.
  3. Add carrot paste, sugar & salt to taste and final 2 cups of rice.
  4. Mix well in pan light fry for 1 min. keep aside.
  5. Now with the help of a round bowl the three portions of prepared rice recipies are given a shape.
  6. The three portions are then placed serially on top of each other green(spinach), white(plain rice) and orange(carrot) in order of our national flag.
  7. Garnish with crisp pices of fried potatoes (straight or wedged shaped) and a few green chillies.
  8. Serve for two.
