Ingredients

To Be Mixed Together To Make A Smooth Batter
1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
a pinch of baking soda
1 tsp sugar
water as required

Other Ingredients
1 cup peeled and sliced ridge gourd (turai)
oil for deep frying
Method
    Method
  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai, take the tori slices and dip in the batter and deep fry in hot oil on a medium flame till golden.
  2. Serve hot with ketchup.
