Tomato & grape jam presents a lovely jam recipe with the chopped tomatoes blended with seedless grapes and brown sugar. Add a hint of cinnamon powder, cloves and apple cider vinegar and you have a delicious jam. Sweet and soft, this jam is great on crusty bread toast with a dab of cream cheese.

Method

  1. Place tomatoes in a large non-reactive pot with sugar. pot spices in a tea ball or tie in cheesecloth and add to pot. add vinegar.
  2. Boil slowly, uncovered, for 2 hours. add grapes and boil 1 hour longer.
  3. Remove spices and pour into sterilized jars to within 1/4 inch from top. put on cap and screw band firmly tight. process in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes. makes 12 8-oz. jars.
