for the kofta
tofu 200 gm
bread slices 5 soaked in water and drained
onion one medium cut small
green chillies 2 cut small
oil for frying
for gravy
2 onions
2 pods of garlic (lehsun)
2 " piece of ginger (adrak)
1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
bay leaves 1
3 tomatoes
turmeric little
chilly pdr 1/2 tsp or to taste
dhaniapdr 2 tsp

  1. Mash tofu and mix well with slices of bread onion green chilly and required salt.
  2. Make small balls.
  3. Fry till golden brown in oil.
  4. Drain and keep aside.
  5. Heat 2 tsp oil .
  6. Add bay leaf and jeera.
  7. Grind onion garlic and ginger well.
  8. Add to thehot oil.
  9. Saute in low flame.
  10. Add turmeric chiily and dhania pdr.
  11. Saute for a min.
  12. Add pureed tomatoes.
  13. Let it cook in low flame.
  14. When the gravy is thick add salt and add water to get required thickness.
  15. Add the koftas.
  16. Serve hot with rotis.
