Tasty Corn Kadhi recipe - How to make Tasty Corn Kadhi

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 1 serving


For The Kadhi
4 cups sour curds (dahi)
4 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour) (gram flour)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 cup red chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 cups sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
salt to taste

For The Tempering
1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
2 to 3 curry leaves (kadi patta)
1 bay leaf
1 whole dry Ksshmiri red chilli
1 tsp fenugreek (methi) seeds
1/4 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
1 tsp oil

Other Ingredients
coriander (dhania) leaves for garnishing
For the Kadhi

  1. In a deep pan, add the curd, besan, salt, turmeric and chilli powder and whisk well.
  2. Put to boil for 20 minutes and add the corn and boil for more 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the flame and keep aside.

For the tempering

  1. Heat the oil in pan , add red chilli, mustard seeds, methi, curry leaves, kasturi meti and saute on a medium flame till the seeds crackle.
  2. Add garam masala and mix well.

How to proceed

    How to proceed
  1. Pour the tempering over the kadhi and mix well.
  2. Bring it to a boil.
  3. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
