Tasty Corn Halwa recipe - How to make Tasty Corn Halwa

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 6 to 8 servings

2 cups boiled crushed sweet corn kernels
1 cup milk
1/2 cup fresh cream
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1/2 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
1/2 cup chopped almonds (badam)
2 tbsp ghee
pinch of saffron (kesar) strands

For Garnishing
almond flakes
  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add the corn mixture and saute for 5 mins.
  2. Add milk and fresh cream, mix well and cook for 5 minutes or until thick.
  3. If required add more milk.
  4. Add sugar, almonds, saffron, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
  5. Mix it well and cook for another 5 mins.
  6. Garnish with saffron and almond flakes.
  7. Serve warm.
