Tangy Mix Veg Pulao recipe - How to make Tangy Mix Veg Pulao

1 cup long grained rice (basmati rice)
1/4th cup shelled peas
1/4th cup diced carrot
1/4th cup onion cut into small pieces
2 bayleaves (tejpatta)
1 " piece of cinnamon (dalchini)
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp vinegar
1/4 th tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
3 tsp oil
For garnishing
Few fried onion rings
few lemon wedges

  1. Soak the rice for 15 - 20 minutes.
  2. In the pan take oil when hot add cinnamon, bay leaf then add onions saute it at medium flame till it is dark brown in colour.
  3. Add little water add chillie powder, peas and carrots and mix well.
  4. Add washed rice stir it carefully with rest of vegetables.
  5. Add soya sauce, vinegar, salt and 2cup water.
  6. Give it a boil then lower the flame and cover it , after 8 - 10 minutes your tangy rice will be ready.
  7. Leave it for a while, then carefully serve in the bowl with fried onion rings and lemon wedges.
