Sweet potato tikkis recipe - How to make Sweet potato tikkis

2 sweet potatoes (shakarkand)
200 gms bread crumbs
2 to 3 tbsp cornflour
3 tsp chaat masala
a pinch salt
oil for shallow fry

  1. Cook the sweet potates in a cooker,give it 4-5 whitsles to ensure it is fully soft
  2. Take it out of the cooker and peel of the skin and run some cold water so it cools a little
  3. Now mash it with a masher or spoon and let it to cool for some time
  4. After it cools down a bit add all the other ingredients and mix well,set aside 100g of the bread crumbs for rolling the tikkis
  5. Now make tikkis from the mixture and roll each tikki on the bread crumbs
  6. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis
  7. Drain the excess oil on tissue
  8. Serve hot with hot and sweet sauce
