  1. Peel onions and cut into long thin strips
  2. Put them in a pan,sprinkle some water and cook till onions become soft.keep stirring during cooking.
  3. Add jaggery (or sugar) ,all spices and cook on a low flame for 10 mins
  4. Add vinegar and cook till the mixture becomes thick
  5. Cool and fill in a jar.
