2 medium sized sweet potatoes (shakarkand)
570 ml (1 pint) milk
2 eggs
180 gms sugar
5 ml (1 tsp) cinnamon (dalchini)
30 gms roughly chopped walnuts (akhrot)
30 gms or 2 tbsp butter

  1. 1)peel the potatoes and grate them coarsely.combine with the milk.
  2. 2)beat the eggs and gradually add the sugar,continuing until light and fluffy. combine with the cinnamon and the nuts.
  3. 3)stir into the potatoes and milk and pour the mixture into a lightly buttered shallow baking dish.dot with the remaining butter.
  4. 4)bake about 45minutes to 1hour in a pre-heated180degrees c/350degrees f gas mark 4 oven. bake until the pudding is set and serve it
